Thanksgiving 2010

Yep, this is nearly two months old, but I am determined to get caught up with pictures and blogging!

We went over to my parents' house in Springville for Thanksgiving day. We love having them so close! With Kenneth visiting his soon-to-be in-laws in Ohio for the first time, the Hinckleys in Texas, and cousins no longer living nearby, we were a fairly small group compared to previous years, but we did have 11 of us there. We were glad to have my paternal grandparents (GG and Popper to our kids) with us. Whenever we have big dinners at Mom and Dad's house they set up long tables down in the basement to fit us all.

At school Adriana made several Thanksgiving "costumes," and she had a play ready for us all to perform. Grandma was a good sport and agreed to be the turkey. The girls had a turn with the turkey mask, too.
After dinner we realized that we didn't have any pictures of just Darren with his Grandpa. We quickly resolved that.
That was our Thanksgiving. It was a fairly quiet, nice day. We have a lot to be thankful for (even if I don't acknowledge it for several months :).
